The trip was wonderful. You see new things, experience new cultures, eating cold food, and fun. I believe it helps to open minds and creativity increase the chance too. All trips are good, but quite honestly you just saw and experienced so much when you go on tour, staying in tourist hotels, and mix with fellow tourists most of the time. I do not knock on tourism at all, and has become a tourist at times, but to actually see the area you need to travel a bit independent, not with a group of tourists.

Most of the world does not have a tourist hotel, but has a fine hotel the locals live in while they are traveling. You will not find a Michelin-starred restaurants, but a lot of cheap and delicious places to eat. You may meet with some tourists, but you definitely will interact with the locals, too. Communication may not be entirely in English, but you’ll be amazed how much you can communicate even when there is no common language or small. Best of all, you will see and experience much more, most likely enjoy it very much.

Travel on most of the world is very cheap, yes, I said cheap. A week as a tourist in France may cost two or more thousand dollars per person not including airfare, and I’ll add pretty decent. For the same price you can easily have a blast for a few months in an area that is very easy to attract and secure many of the world. You are traveling and eating very well, living in a convenient location, and had a wonderful and enlightening. Of course you can travel in France is much cheaper too.

Now some areas of the world is easier to travel than others. A traveler beginners probably should not go sub-Saharan Africa for example, although the area was interesting. Southeast Asia but is very simple to travel in and one of the more popular areas. Most countries feature easy journey, many accommodations, food is really great, and well beaten path full of other tourists as well. South America is another wonderful area for trips such as in Central America, and Spain a little goes a long if you happen to know a few.

Traveling is more about being there than to move quickly in an effort crazy to see it all. You can not see everything anyways. So slow, take several weeks or months (yes, you can if you plan ahead), and see the world.
